Staying at the Bailing Hai(Phillipines)

On Boracay Island we stayed at the Bailing Hai Hotel. It is a small Hotel away from the main drag. We chose this place because they had snorkeling from the beach. That was the right decision(see next post).

Bailing Hai is a little "rustic", built along the cliff to the ocean, there are individual "cottages". Each is unique, we stayed at a placed called the "Treehouse." Being along the cliff face there are stunning views, even from the bathroom.

There was no hot water and the "cottages" were not sealed from mosquitoes. Not to worry, each bed had it's own protection. Luckily, mosquitos perfer Florence's soft skin to mine.

No TV, Internet in the lobby. But the views made up for it.

They had a full menu, and when Florence ordered the "grilled fish". They started a fire just for her order.
Being on the cliff face made the stairs a challenge but there was a "dumb waiter" from the restaurant down to the bar on the beach.

It was a wonderful place for all of it's short comings. At night there was not much to do but to listen to the forest sounds and the waves. Birds, frogs, lizards, crickets, insects all saying they want sex. Even the Budweiser Frog were there. They add graduated from wanting beer to wanting sex.
